42 years with AMF-Bruns: Farewell celebration for Rolf Claaßen

Rolf Claaßen played a vital role in shaping Purchasing at AMF-Bruns – from the word go, as it were. For 42 years he worked in this division, even bearing sole responsibility for it during his first 25 years of service. Because the company was continually growing, and thus the volume of work noticeably increasing, the Purchasing staff was subsequently expanded and Rolf Claaßen received active support from further colleagues. His responsibilities included coordinating the purchasing of those raw materials and components that are needed both in the conveyor plants and the mobility sector.

At the farewell celebration on 9 December in Westerstede’s Hotel Voss – also known as the “Chocolate Hotel” – 120 people came together: friends, colleagues, suppliers and also Managing Directors Jürgen Bruns and Jan Woltermann. The evening’s festivities began at 7 p.m. with a champagne reception. After this, Rolf Claaßen and the managers welcomed all the guests. After the opening of the buffet, comic skits in Low German provided for variety and good cheer.

“Rolf Claaßen is among our longest-serving employees who have driven AMF-Bruns forward through their specialist knowledge, their commitment, and always with a good dose of personal warmth,” said managing director Jan Woltermann. “We thank him deeply for his fruitful collaboration and wish him and his family all the best for the future!”
